2020/21 Live Football on UK TV
The 2020/21 football campaign is going to be a huge unprecedented season when considering the number of football matches that are going to be shown live on UK TV and streaming channels.
Due to the coronavirus, fans are restricted from attending games. This is true at the time of writing (August 2020). Restrictions are expected to be lifted gradually and fans will be allowed into stadiums in the months ahead albeit, there will be a limited number of spectators.
It’s unknown when football stadiums will be allowed to be at full capacity again. With that being said, the number of loyal season ticket supports who now will not be able to follow their favoured football teams this year in the United Kingdom will be in the hundreds of thousands.
The silver lining is, British Broadcasters intend to show so much more live football on tv this season. Great news for all armchair fans. Not the best news for the loyal season ticket supporters who travel the length and breadth of the country to support their team every week but considering the circumstances, we will take it!
So where are we at? With all the upheaval of the 2019/20 season being stopped, abandoned, restarted etc the fixtures for the 2020/21 season are a little sketchy but here is what we know.

English Football Live on UK TV
While Scottish football ground to halt, finished early, created a new fixture list for the 2020/21 season and has since kicked off again, English football has just came to a conclusion and as yet, have still to announce the calendar fixture list and schedule in what games will be shown live on tv.
So, without further ado, here is what we think we know.
The word on street is that all English Premier League football matches will be shown live on tv at least till such times fans will be allowed back in the stadiums. How this will be done is up for debate.
Its expected that the broadcasters will want to continue broadcasting the minimum number of fixtures that were agreed in the incumbent contract. The current contract concludes that 200 matches will be shown live each season. That is 52% of all 380 games.
Sky Sports were entitled to show 128 live games per season while BT Sports have the rights to show 52 matches. The newcomers to world of broadcasting live football matches is Amazon Prime, who have the rights to show 20 live games per season via their streaming service.
That was when the world was normal. In the new world who knows at this stage who knows how thing will develop but there is talk that season ticket holders will be provided with private links to live streaming channels where they will be able to watch and support their favourite football teams.
As for now, there is no point guessing. English Premier League fixtures and live tv schedule will be announced in due course. Same with Championship, League One and League Two football.
